THE SPEECH PATH WINS THE TRAILBLAZER AWARD AT THE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR TELEHEALTH
At the Global Partnership for Telehealth (GPT) conference last week, The Speech Path won the Trailblazer Award for creating an innovative teletherapy program currently being used in some rural Georgia schools.  The program uses the video conferencing technology offered through the GPT platform in conjunction with trained staff provided by The Speech Path in order to provide speech therapy services to schools in rural areas. "We believe this model marries the best of what the school environment offers with the best of what the clinic setting offers", says Kate Lewis, owner of The Speech Path.  "Schools in rural Georgia have a tremendous burden when it comes to addressing the health and literacy of the children in these areas.  We are thrilled to be a part of finding a solution for the children and the schools."
