News Release: Students Receive Sam Nunn Citizenship Award

Perry, GA - In a ceremony that took place on April 27 at the Perry Chamber of Commerce, President/CEO, Darlene McLendon, presented the winners of the 2017 Sam Nunn Citizenship Award.  Amari Hope, a student at Tucker Elementary and Emma Kate Bulger, a student at The Westfield School, each received a certificate, a letter from Sam Nunn, and a check for $50.00 during the ceremony.   The students were chosen based on proven displays of good citizenship through community service or extra-curricular activities.  The students must obtain passing grades, currently be a student in grades 3, 4, or 5, have a recommendation from their teacher, and write an essay with their application.   Congratulations Amari and Emma Kate.
