Perry, Georgia – On Wednesday, July 26, 2017, the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting for Tractor Supply Co. in Perry.  Dale Williams, Chamber Chairman, welcomed everyone and spoke a few words on how excited he was to have a well known branded company like Tractor Supply as a new business in Perry.  The location is well seen from Interstate 75, and Williams expressed how proud he was to have them represent Perry to the travelers.  He then turned the floor to Anita Johnson, Store Manager, who expressed how excited they were to be here and how well received the community has been to them.  Johnson introduced a few members of her staff and explained how many of them have never worked retail before or with Tractor supply and how they have all taken such pride in their store and are excited to share their products with the local community.  She expressed her gratitude for all who attended the ceremony today and then turned the floor to Drew Wright, District Manager with Tractor Supply Co.  Wright gave a little history on Tractor Supply Co. explaining that this location has taken seven years to fulfill but that it was a no brainer in the face that Perry was the perfect location.  Tractor Supply is opening five new stores in the state of Georgia, rounding the total number of stores to roughly 1700.  Wright praised Johnson and her team for the hard work and dedication they have all provided in getting this store up and running.  He explained that one of Tractor Supply's sayings is that they hire the customer, because sometimes the customer knows more about the products than they do.  It's always exciting to find out what the customers needs are and to find products that they can carry to meet those needs.  He explained that if they do not carry a product you're looking for, just ask and they will do everything they can to get that product on their shelves.  He also expressed his gratitude to those who attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and are showing their support to them.  They are very thankful for the citizens of Perry.  City of Perry Mayor Jimmy Faircloth thanked Wright and Johnson for their efforts in bringing their business to Perry.  He mentioned the City's new branding 'Perry-Where Georgia Comes Together' and expressed how he honestly believes that and this shows that it's coming true with businesses like Tractor Supply Co. opening here.  He mentioned how the mission of the city is to help businesses achieve their goals and meet their needs and invited Wright and Johnson to reach out to them if there was anything they could help them with.  He gave his sincere congratulations and welcomed them to the City of Perry.  Williams then recognized that these ceremonies are made possible by the Chambers Member Services group, who are the faces of our Chamber and are out in our community welcoming and finding needs for our businesses.  Williams introduced Glenn Anderson with Perry Ford, who serves on the Member Services Committee.  Anderson expressed his gratitude to Wright and Johnson in bringing a business like theirs to Perry and reminded them that he and the Chamber are here to help them in any way needed.  All attendees were then asked to join together outside in the front of the store for the ribbon cutting and picture.

In attendance at the ceremony were Chamber of Commerce board members, city and state officials, Chamber members, committee members, and other area business leaders.
