In accordance with the latest CDC, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, recommendation for large events, and guidance from our local and state leaders, the Perry Chamber will not be holding the Perry Dogwood Festival on April 18-19, 2020.  The Chamber is reevaluating their plans and once a decision is made will communicate it accordingly.  According to CDC, large in-person events can contribute to the spread of COVID-19 via travelers who attend these events and introduce the virus to new communities. The Chamber is committed to the health and well-being of our citizens and visitors and preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Ellen Palmer, President/CEO of the Perry Chamber comments, “The Perry Dogwood Festival brings together 15,000-20,000 people in our downtown every year. With the latest recommendation from the CDC, we will not hold the Dogwood Festival in April, 2020.  The Chamber will always put people first and is committed to the well-being of our citizens, businesses and visitors.  We hope to reschedule it for a later date but during this uncertain time have not made a final decision.   The Chamber will continue to serve our businesses and community with the support and resources they need during this time of uncertainty.”
