| Hodges-O'Neal Home - 903 Evergreen St. | | Description | Built in 1893 by John Hicks Hodges. This was the childhood home of General Courtney Hodges, Commanding General of the 1st Army during World War II. He served with great honor in both Europe and the Pacific, landing on the beaches of Normandy and in the Phillipines. The home was sold in 1971 to Jim and Kipie O'Neal, who renovated the home and grounds. |
