The Perry Chamber of Commerce was established in 1955 as the largest business organization in the Perry area. Since then, the Chamber has been holding an Annual Meeting to recognize people who have made outstanding contributions to the Chamber and the community. Currently, the Chamber gives awards for the following: Business of the Year, Business Woman of the Year, Perry Diplomat of the Year, the James E. Worrall Volunteer of the Year, the Golden Nail Award, and the Seabie Hickson Award. During the annual meeting, outgoing board members are recognized and the gavel is handed to the new Chairman of the Board. This event takes place in late January or early February.
